My Bad, I'm sure you're right, I thought it looked like a battle ship, but I have never been in the Navy.

Hehehe!.....No problem.

I've never been in the navy either, but I've seen some of the ships here and there in my travels. Battleships are very distinguishable......long and wide with lots of massive gun turrets on the deck.

Here's one from last week. British Airways flight from Glasgow to Heathrow. We had a glorious view of the Lake District - that's Haweswater in the background and the Fairfield horseshoe in the foreground. I really wished I was down there on the hills, instead of being stuck on yet another boring business trip...

This was taken when going in for a landing in La Paz, Bolivia at sunrise. This was my first plane flight just last year.

Maybe British Airways keeps its aircraft a bit cleaner than whoever you fly with? ;)

Seriously though, aircraft windows are not good optically, which is what makes this thread interesting and challenging of course. Smudges and scratches on the window generally won't show up directly on your picture, because if the camera is pressed up against the window (as it has to be, to cut down on reflections) then all those imperfections are way out of focus. But they do generally degrade the picture. I find that aggressive post processing is required to salvage something useful from most of these images.

To illustrate what I mean, here's a before-and-after look at that last image. It really is surprising how much can be pulled out of an image that is apparently of very poor quality:
