I was at an indoor event this weekend with a 30D and EF-S 10-22, no flash.
For a 30D, would everybody find this level of noise acceptable at ISO 800? Thanks!

Bill For myself, if comparing to a 5D or 1DmkIII, it's probably not acceptable. The 30D is my first and only DSLR, so what it produces is my only real baseline.

That's very obvious, given that the OP asked what we thought of the noise: would everybody find this level of noise acceptable at ISO 800?
