Need some P&S help

I am trying to pick out a P&S as a present and really am having a hard time trying to find the best one. It needs to be small and compact, I was looking at these:

Nikon Coolpix S700...
Canon SD870 IS
Canon SD950 IS

Anyone have either of these or can help me pick out the right one?

funny i was just looking at the same cameras (but for me) and i'd like to know which is better one (i know, that's kind of subjective).

i also had in mind the fuji finepix f50fd.

i have a G6 but i want something i can slip into my pocket and just go.

Go with Fuji. They have amazing lowlight capabilities. Best I've seen. Personally, I think I'm going to go with the Olympus 790 SW because of the underwater features. i go tubing in rivers around here and have a pool so it'll be fun and also use in the rain.

Other than that, Fuji is the way to go in P&S I think. All depends on size.
