Just last week, I traded my 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 to snsgraphics for his Sigma 24-70 f/2.8. I really missed the extra reach this weekend, but enjoyed the 2.8. I opted for better lowlight than for reach. I have to admit. It's weird getting used to Sigma's backwards zoom adjustment. Then again, to Sigma, it isn't backwards. I'm hoping to pick up my very own 70-200 2.8 (thanks for the rental lensestorent.com). Darn you Michael, I don't want to send it back now.

Sigma 24-70 for Canon 24-70 ( Iwanted the sharpness)
Thinking of selling the Canon TS 90mm f/2.8 or trading it for the TS 24mm

I went straight to the top for my other lenses so I don't see many of them listed here.

Lenses I have owned and sold :-

Canon 17-40 - prefer 10-22
Canon 50 (1.4) - no use for me
Canon 70-200 2.8 IS - extra cost over my Sigma is not justified.
Canon 70-300 IS - good, but no 100-400.

Why did you sell the 85mm f/1.2 and f/1.8?

I can tell you why I'm looking to sell mine. It was my first great lens. Optically it's amazing, build quality is superb, auto-focussing is lightning fast. For portraits, without a doubt, it's my best lens. But. . .

I mainly shoot portraits, but it's not a great walkaround lens. I relatively recently picked up the 24-70 L, which is also a superb portrait lens - do I think it's quite as good as the 85mm? No, but it's so much more versatile. For low light I have my 30mm f/1.4 which is a more useful focal length for indoors, and for outdoors, I have the 24-70 and 70-200.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'd love an UWA lens, and can't justify keeping the 85mm, I'd not get rid of it, but I don't have the luxury of being able to keep kit I only get out once in a blue moon.

EF-S 18-55 kit lens (with XT)
EF 28-105 f/3.1-4.5 (very nice lens)
EF 17-40L (soft wide open, but great a stop down and very nice saturation)
Sigma 17-70 (the only one I regret selling)
Sigma 18-200 (upgraded to the OS version)
Soon: Sigma 105 macro (upgraded to 150mm macro)

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
