Hey guys,

I have been using CS2 on my PC and for now i have been using Lightroom on my mac however i have been looking to purchase Photoshop CS3 for the mac and was wondering if it was worth the upgrade to upgrade my PC to it too. I do use them both pretty regularly my mac at home and my pc on the road.

Any true benifits to CS3 over CS2.

Im no professional, at all. But my opinion is, if you use CS2 for just the basics of PP, and dont know allt he bells and whistles of it, then you wont need CS3. Cs3 offers ALOT ALOT ALOT, but unless you use all the keyboard shortcuts, the pens, and all the bells and whistles, I dont think CS3 improved on the main things.

Except the LASSO/SELECT tool is better.

Canon 7D...28-135mm IS...70-300mm...and a desire for a lot more...with a wallet that does not fit that desire...

I when't for the up grade. The selection tools and the ability to edit JPEGs in camera raw if nothing else. I am useing CS3 more than I ever did Lightroom. That said Lightroom is better at cataloging or libarary stuff than CS3 and Bridge. Have you kept Lightroom up to date?
