And the winner is...

Kimmer - "Contrast"
I love the contrast of colours between the white 'church' and the dark buildings. The contrast between a church amongst the buildings which seems out of place. I like how there's almost a heaven vs hell story and the notion of heaven as the clouds are reflected on the building on the left. I feel the arrangement of the shot could have further improved the message but overall excellent job!

Special mention goes out to:
Boutty - "Under the old jetty"
Simply beautiful. Excellent composition. But I think it lacked in emotion.

Challenge #148 - "X" marks the spot.

I don't think a letter of the alphabet has been used as a subject yet (I could be wrong?!) but anyway, your subject should contain an obvious "X" in it be it a pattern, an intersection, perhaps a cross or simply just the letter. Whatever it is, let's see some X's!

Well done Kimmer, a really nice image. '†' marked the top-spot :) I am wondering if that photo was taken in USA or somewhere in South America? I can't tell too much from that small section of architecture, but it reminded me of some of the city-scenes in Sao Paulo.

Marie, Østermarie is a small town on the Danish island of 'Bornholm', Øster = East. Thus, Eastern-Marie. A town for you!

I guess that Fly did get lost on his way home to see his fly-mum and fly-dad and needed a bit of navigational guidance (or just a rest from all that hard fly-work :) )

all the best and if I am not online again soon ( busy ) have a good Christmas everyone!

Maureen, those xmas candies look tasty... yum yum yum...

Thank you! That was taken in NYC, though I can't remember exactly which buildings (or what church). I just remember that I liked the juxtaposition of blue sky, black building, and religious icon. I'm always intrigued by symbols or expressions of faith in unexpected contexts.

Happy holidays!
