I just wanted to put this out there for those of you who may be looking to pick up a sample pack of Rosco gels. As always there are those unscrupulous idiots on eBay looking to sucker you. check this out. http://cgi.ebay.com …ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (external link)
i hope everyone here knows that these samples can be obtained from the manufacturer at NO CHARGE. Or...if you must pay you can score them at B&H for $.01!

Thanks Shawn, I just submitted a request to Appolo for a swatchbook.

I don't know what happened with Rosco but I re-submitted one about 2 weeks ago too. We'll see.

Funny how things like this happen. UPS guy shows up tonight and hands me a package from Rosco.

i've ordered the sample packs from rosco multiple times over the past couple of years and have never received anything from them.
Just put a request in with Apollo. (thx for the link) I hope I have better luck with them.

no problem. like i said...i received one swatch from rosco but it took contacting the sales manager to get em. the apollo gels came pretty quickly. i think it was about 8-10 days. maybe thats why bh "sells" the rosco swatch book for .01. if they are in stock you will definately get them. good luck with the apollos.

took me a while to get mine from rosco. When I got the packing slip they circled "backordered" so perhaps they are backordered on their own sample swatchbooks? I sure with the whole strobist rage, they're being overwhelmed with sample swatchbook orders.

I noticed the same thing on my packing slip. I'm sure they are getting swamped with orders for these.

BH probably sells the rosco swatchbook for other reasons. probably more so a legality/tax issue.

kind of like how technically if you give your car to a buddy you have to put that they atleast paid $1 to make it legit.
