A couple more..

Taken at night from inside my truck, so shot through my dirty windshield and the stores glass window. Note the CA, but good I think under this kind of lighting condition:

You need to express your question a bit more clearly before I can respond in the appropriate way... Is that clear?

Wow, this thread is still kicking around. Still have and love my Sigma 30, I know this lens is hit or miss for lots of people, but it good to know so many do enjoy it.

In contrast to the nice portraits posted here, intersting and worthwhile subjects,
I'll post a very boring test shot of a cereal box.

This is at f/1.4 and shows:
a) great center sharpness
b) significant barrel distortion
c) decent bokeh

... as someone earlier in this thread said, "This lens just has too much potential. I don't care if it has to go to Sigma". I agree. So I go drive 10 minutes over to Sigma. I waited for 1/2 an hour for them to calibrate it. That's it.

Perect situatioon ... a bespoke tuned 30mm 1.4 is an awesome thing to own ;-)a

I had asked if anyone knew if Sigma had corrected the focusing issues with this lens earlier in the thread but never got a response. Does anyone know or are there still inconsistent issues with the focusing on this lens?
Thanks.

I've had two go through my hands, only because a canceled order made it to my house and was curious if I would see any copy variation. They were identical on my body, both had slight front focus. One quick visit to Sigma and focus is on the money. As I said before, I think this lens is worth a trip to service if need be. I personally consider one visit to service a good thing. I've certainly sent canon stuff in more than once for the same piece of equipment..

While I'm at it, I'd like to recommend staying away from beachcamera/buydig (yes, they are the same place). Having ordered from them several times, I have never felt comfortable with their packaging or the fact that the equipment they send out has never been touched.

Also, Having dealt with Canon, Tamron and now Sigma service (Tamron and Sigma being 20 and 10 minutes from where I live) I can say now that Sigma service has been my best EXPERIENCE. Sigma service is better than Tamrons in the form of night and day. Canon...well, lets just say "No pain, no gain".. For me anyhow.

Love this lens. No worries shooting at f/1.4 (unlike my EF 50mm f/1.4). Full-frame and a 100% crop. No post processing, other than conversion to JPEG.

I've had mine for almost 2 years and not had any problems with it. I'm 7 for 7 on Sigma lenses. If they have QC issues, I've not had any.
