My last couple of purchases were with the (Tamron lens and 430ex). Nothing but good things to say. They processed the order much faster than I thought they would, and delivered quicker than they promised. Products were well packed, and top notch.

Rebel XTi, 430ex, Tammy 28-75, nifty fifty, kit lens, tons of reading, not enough practice, and two gorgeous subjects (my kiddies)

Purchased from them before and no problems what so ever. The package actually arrived sooner than expected. I would purchase from them again.

Purchased from them several different times, no problems whatsoever. In fact, purchased the Tokina 10-17 from them and are very pleased.

Only downside I've seen as compared to B&H is they won't generally retroactively adjust pricing and their return policy isn't quite as generous. But for the savings... well, I always look at them to purchase.

Bought many many items from them. Tens of thousands of dollars over the months, and never a single problem.

My good friend bought her husband's camera from them last year, and was amazed when it arrived at her door within 48 hours. Great experience...

I have purchased from Beach on numerous occasions with transactions ranging from "you can put it on a slow train" to begging "PLEASE get it here tomorrow." They have never failed to provide good customer service nor has there been any problem with a transaction.

However.... you may want to check out their return policy on lenses. Soft copies do exist, I have received two over the years. BH's policy of returns is good - they email a return package prepaid ups label. I do not know if Beach provides the same service or if you are obligated to pay for the return. Nor if you are allowed to return an item to Beach with "no questions asked" as you (basically) are to BH. /Dan

Beach/Buydig are at the top of my list - above B&H that is for sure. Better prices and free shipping on a lot of items. Fast order processing and good communication as the order is shipped.

Beach and Buydig are rock solid to me - above reproach.

I've bought twice from Beach/BuyDig now and have had no problems. I wish I could say the same about my current ongoing transaction with them.

On 12/31 I ordered a 70-200 f/4 IS from them for $949, a pretty good price. It showed in stock. It wasn't. I inquired when it would ship, was told they were getting more in this past Monday and it would ship then. It didn't. I e-mailed again and got "It's not in stock yet" as a response.

Now I just got off the phone with a guy who say "We'll honor the price, but I have to check with the buyer. It may be that Canon isn't manufacturing this anymore." Yeah, right! I have a sneaking suspicion they may be trying to welch on the price.

With the instant rebates going on now, I only have a week to get this lens from them or decide to pay more from Adorama or B&H before the price goes way up.

So I won't say avoid Beach because they have been good, but this is certainly not a hassle-free transaction.

I have bought a couple of times from Beach Camera. No problems either time (first time about 15 years ago), very prompt service the last time.
