Hi guys,
I am looking at buying my first tripod for my first camera(fitting). I got a powershot S80 which I like and while I save u money it does the job and I like it. But I am now looking to buy a tripod because I like takeing landscape photos and hand held is just not a worker. I do quite a lot of hiking and walking so something relatively small which I could chuck on my back would be great. But I also don't have alot of money as Im a student. could some of you guys give me some recomendations as to what I should be looking at because its like buying frying pans they all look the same but are different I just have no clue about the subject.
:D

This site has a lot of info. I personally would go with a Bogen Manfrotto 190 xpro with that light camera but thats just me. Read this info

I wanted to be a nude photographer, but when I went outside naked, everyone pointed and laughed, so I gave it up.

I say save yourself the headache of researching tripods and pick up this model.

It's great for hiking/traveling...compact, lightweight and sturdy enough for SLRs with medium sized lenses. Plus it's great value!!

I'll be posting my impressions on this tripod soon.

You might want to update things on your computer a bit. You only needed the IP address for POTN while Pekka was changing servers. https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53864 works as well.
