It looked sad, so I had to give it a good home.

LOL.

Very pretty, but you have to get that gimpy looking foot off.

The lens looks so much more sleek and sexy without it.

Up until you said it's a lens, wow...too much info. Should have added in a part, "as I unzipped the case. Some thing's peeking at me! It's big and white!"

hahaha, that's exactly what i was thinking with his step by step undressing of the lens from its case. oh village_idiot, at this rate i'm going to sell my computer to get some 70-200mm f/2.8L IS money. i figure it's a win-win because i won't be able to visit the forums anymore, meaning people like you can't stoke my lens addiction, and i'll have a copy of that beautiful work of art that you just bought. congratulations. :D

Have fun with the lens

It's just a strange coincidence.

Now my problem is carrying it. I put it on my 30D and put it in my currect camera bag...after removing the flash, two lenses, and dividers from the inside. It barely fit. I really need that backpack now.

Think hard before you go down the backpack route, I have one that is great for carrying all your gear but a pain for shooting, you have to take it off, open it get what you want, close it move on etc etc. I have a Domk that carries a 1DMkII, 24-70, 17-40, 100-400 (on or off the camera) a flash and a shed load of other stuff. I can leave it open when I am moving around and change lenses really easily. The backpack may be the answer for you, all I am saying is think about it.
