I have heard it, or rather read it here and there, which may be why I now question everything twice.
Oh, wait, that's cause of GWB.

If no one has found it yet in the EXIF, or the hex data, and Canon has to have the camera in hand to check the shutter counts, then I am thinking it's a likely scenario. Mitch- ____...^.^...____

TeamSpeed 01010100 01010011 ![]() More info | Jan 30, 2008 08:41 | #48 We just need some enterprising network person to write a ping program to the camera when it is hooked up to see what commands could be issued. Basically reverse engineer the EOS utility, because that can write out the owner name, etc to the camera, and the shutter count would most likely be stored in memory very similiar to the owner name, etc. There are probably getter/setter methods that can be invoked to retrieve alot of this "technician data". canonloader Cream of the Crop ![]() More info | Jan 30, 2008 08:53 | #49 I've said it before. Someone should be able to write some new firmware for these cameras. I've heard it was done for the 20D but forgot the details. Must not be a market for it, or it would have been done. Mitch- ____...^.^...____
