I suppose you didn't see the real issue there. All you Brits and Canadians were too busy with your tea time to take notice.

Canadians don't have tea time...

We have Tim Horton's coffee instead, much better. ;)

North of the border they aren't free (they're a far piece down the socialist path, but haven't "arrived" yet)... and they're called "Chips n Gravy". Agreed, here in the US of A they're "freedom fries" ever since the French wouldn't back the UN resolutions against Sadaam. Yep, that's when that all started. Took the French out of the french fry on some menus.

This one isn't for the huge lenses I have but it's still a comment...

after handing the 30d to a friend with a rented 50mm 1.4 (or any prime for that matter): "You can't zoom? what a waste of money"

Hahah, followed by you taking their P&S and saying, "You can't take high quality images? What a waste of money."

"That building in the background is distracting."

I was at an indoor athletics event last week, my friend had his compact ultrazoom, and when I pulled out my 30D with the 200/2.8, his girlfriend let out a "How many megapixels is THAT??"

Did you say 1000 megapixels to feed her obsession with mp's?
