Hey guys,

I really want to purchase a Tamron 17-50mm after comparing this lens to Sigma 17-70. This will be my first real lens aside from the 1.8 so I'm very excited.

Should I pick this lens from B&H? or do you guys recommend other sites?

If not used, BH looks good. $10 rebate as well.

Try Sigma for less: http://www.sigma4less.com …t?query=TA1750F28CAI&pc=9 (external link)

Pricegrabber.com usually does a good job of filtering for best price. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys. I think Sigma4less has the best deal so I'll most likely get it from there. Xphalcon: I'll even give you $100, I have lots of monopoly money! lol.. Thanks for the find.

I'll even accept Canadian currency.

Have fun with your new lens. The Tamron 17-50/2.8 was my first piece of glass, and I've been very satisfied with the quality of the images.
I'm sure you have already read the reviews though. Good luck!

Just make sure it has the USA warranty and isn't grey market.

I just sold a Sigma 17-70 and have ordered the Tamron 17-50. My Sigma was a sharpe copy and I had no complaints. I just want faster glass and the 20mm length really wasn't a need for me. I hope I get a good copy of the Tamron but I'll know by the end of the week.

Best of luck with your decison.

Where did you pick up yours? I really want to put my order in by tonight!

Does it really make a difference if it's assembled in Japan or China? Or should I go with the obvious as to why the China assembled lens would not be as good.
