I'm gonna guess color slide film with their 35mm cameras :-P
Tom, how are the chili cookoffs there? just saw there's going to be one on the 16th there. but I also gotta see how long it would take for me to get there as well.

Ryan..you are correct, the 16th is the annual chili cookoff. Amazingly enough, chili folks come from all over the US for this?? Last year the whole main street was lined with chili experts cookin away. I think you 'bought' a cup for a $5.00 donation and then you could hit all the vendors and test their chili. No gunfights that sat. as the streets are full of vendors etc. But the town is full of folks so if you are into shooting people it's a great venue.

Actually you are safe as rutha and I haven't decided on a chandlerite reduction plan yet:lol:

We don't need a Chandlerite reduction plan, we seriously need a MIKE reduction plan.

Ok, playing catch up as usual :). I'm going to put a stick-pin on my location (although that site is giving me troubles at the moment).

Welcome newbies!!! I'm sure you will find this a great group!

I think Tom and Kristy and possibly others mentioned meeting up 15 minutes early (or even a bit earlier sounds great to me) on the 14th. Sounds like a plan, I'm in!

They are supposed to be there at around 11:00am and it's supposed to be an all day affair. Of course these types of things never go as planned and are usually very anti-climatic. I'm going out about 9:30 as I am scheduled for jeep tours today. (I drive part time for Apache Trail Tours out of Goldfield)..it's been pretty slow for tours so will probably be there all day. I'm going to take my camera so I got something to do besides play with the touristas.

you kinda sound like me when I worked at disneyworld. The only thing to do while working out there and nothing to do is play and talk with the tourists.

Thanks Tom,
They just changed the job from 6-10's to 7-12's so the schedule might be a little tighter than I thought.

Hey guys, just thought I would say hello. I'm new to this forum. It seems that a lot of you are landscape photographers, but I wanted to know if any of you do fashion or model ports? If so I have one scheduled at the end of the month and am looking for a cool location. Probably somewhere in Phx or the East Valley. I'm looking for a cool architectual building, restaurant or diner, furniture place or somewhere that will let me shoot in their place. Any suggestions? It's high fashion, so dramatic is the look. Thanks for your help!

it might be easier to find a privately owned place and ask them to see if they would allow you to take pictures in their place.

Our little corner of the web is growing and growing. Welcome to all the new people. I'm sure we will meet each other at some point. When and where is the next outing going to take place?
