Hello 2manyhobies;

I'm guessing you were on the GG bridge ??? Nice opportune capture...

Looks like it could do with just a touch of USM and maybe some light/contrast playing in PS to make it pop a little against the haze...

Cheers;

Lee

Nice catch! I like the boat in the corner, too. Maybe a touch of rotor blur next time?

Oh, and yes, I was indeed on the golden gate. The cool part was that the chopper was coming along maybe 200 ft off the bridge when they suddenly nosed up right in front of me, then I realized they were waving at me. I have since sent the pictures over to the coast guard in SF with the hopes they make it to the crew in the helio that day.

'S been a long time. Went to Navy electronics school on T.I. We had a very active amateur radio club there, K6NCG Club station was out on the west corner, facing Alcatraz and the Golden Gate.

USM = Un Sharp Mask. A common photoshop technique to give downsized and compressed images (jpgs) a little better definition.

I like the photo, it does need slight PP.

The Coast Guard guys are really cool like that. We have a local RC heli club and some of the guys are also rc pilots. When we have a big get together every spring, they fly in and really attract the crowds.

Troy
