Afternoon all,

The season is almost here again and so I decided that I should get back up to Brands for the BEMSEE meeting at Brands Hatch on Sunday ahead of the main start of the car racing season at the end of the month.

The weather through just about everything at us from glorious bright sunshine to dark skies and rain that made me hide in a marshal's hut for 10 minutes.

But it was good to be back. There is a new fence of death at Clearways but it stops at the point where the old one used too so it shouldn't affect photos from there too much.

Anyway, pictures. I don't do bikes. This is my secondly ever bike meeting and like last time I didn't really know what I was doing. I certainly can't tell the difference between the bikes!

1. WHAT THE HELL...

That's it for now. Back again in 2 weeks and I can't wait!

John

Great shots, certainly better than those I took Saturday - but then you have the advantage of no fence. I found them very difficult to capture compared to cars.

One of mine from Saturday.

I'll guess at naming the bikes for you :)

1: bike doesnt matter... that dude has balls... big balls! and what an amazing photo!

2: Im pretty sure by the ram-air intakes that this is a Kawasaki zxr400

3: Judgeing by the tank clipons and top yoke... a early k series suzuki GSXR

4: rs125

5: only 4 types of bike here: Kawasaki ZX-10, Yamaha R1, Suzuki GSXR 1000 and the Honda CBR1000RR fireblade.

6: K7-8 GSXR, with standard suspension on the front... weird black nitride coating on the forks... sexy.

7: im actually stumped on the first bike.. the one chasing is a CBR600rr

8: #4 ugly as sin yamaha r6 #3 awesome kawasaki zx6rr (the rr is the race homo special... as the road bike is 636cc, therefore cannot race in this class)

you should shoot bikes more often, these are great pics!!! love them!

Could the front bike in #7 be a Triumph or the Bimota?

New to me 20d with kit lens, and I already bought a another lens 70-300 usm III. Plus a Sigma 70-200 2.8 APO thingy.

Like No. 3 :)

Bikers are mad.

I've only been to one bike meet (British Superbikes at snett) and it was packed to bursting. Not going to go again.

yeah could be the 600 daytona, not bimota as they dont do a 600cc bike, but then im hazy with the triumph as the ram-air just looks so square, very strange? skinny tho, and that new triumph it stupid tiny! makes the small CBR behind look massive haah lolz

You did a hell of a lot better than me. I can't tell one from the other apart from the Kawasakis but that's easier what with the green :)

Cheers Gary. He's a side car passenger so of course he's mental.

Yeh Bike 11 in photo #7 looks like a honda 600rr to me. I never seen a GSXR with the ram air ducts like that and the front fairing looks too big and bubly for a GSXR, they are usually slender and sharp.
