Just bought a 430EX and I've been wanting to try some close ups with my 300 f/4. I was amazed at how much of a difference the 430 onbounce made over the Quantaray QF30 flash I bought on a budget buy.

C/C welcomed and encouraged.

One of the king of the house. I like this one because I can see myself taking the shot, along with the armoire and some other shots I took on the wall :)

Number 2 is certainly a fantastic shot. I assume then you'd say the 430 was worth it? I've considered getting one, but I don't know just yet.

I really like number 2 as well. I'm a pretty big noob on here, but it looks like your dof on number 1 could have been widened a bit to get the front eye in focus. All in all I like them a lot.

I took that one with my 300 f/4 L. I was laying on the other side of the living room.

I was laying on my stomach on the floor and bounced the 430ex to my left at 45. My walls are white, floors and trim are a cherry wood color.
