New lens with duck

Just got a 500f/4 and these are the first shots with it all hand held bit I think I will need to start using my triopd for this, in flight shots hand held are not so bad for hand holding but finding it hard for static stuff.

Nice! Congrats. Man that's a sweet lens and some sweet shots. And here I am 'settling' for a 400 5.6 in a few months time.

Thanks Rob, I am very pleased with it and the price I paid for it.

a monopod is nice with this lens not to heavy and easy to carry on shoulder i got the manfroto 681b it takes up to 12kg .

Nothing wrong with the 400f/5.6, at least its light.

This duck-thing seems to be a tradition. I'm in line for a Sigma 120-400mm OS when it comes out in April (hopefully). When I have it, I guess I'll need to go duck-hunting... A bit of a challenge, here in the Colorado Rockies!

Great shots for being handheld. The 500 is the next lens on my list to get...
