That's what I thought when I was using a 20D and 2GB cards. I could get around 400 RAW shots per card. When I moved to a 5D, I could only get about 100 RAW shots per card.

yeah, I just moved up to a 1dmk2. so no need to upgrade for awhile, well at least till I sell my 1dclassic or win the powerball :-)

HI all,

Been tons of great shots put up in the past week or so. I'm playing catch up again. I'm considering making a run out to the Imperial Dunes soon before it gets too hot.

Frank, when do you leave for Germany?

Good morning everyone,
It's been awhile since my last post and there have been some amazing shot's posted. I've been busy with work getting ready to go on vacation to Hawaii. The wife and I leave tomorrow 6am. If anyone has any ideas on places you've been that were great to shoot other than "the whole place" it would be nice to here back.

Hatch, I bought the Sigma 180mm 3.5f Macro after the reviews I've read, and then the shots you took of the bee hive (you either are a serious adrenaline junkie, or you need help. LOL:lol: WOW, thoses were amazing!!!)

I will post pics as I shoot them while in Hawaii. I hope everyone can get out and enjoy the weather.
Aloha
Dana

No clue at the moment... waiting to find out if the assignment has been cancelled. I can only hope :)

LOL about the bees... they were nice to me and I was nice to them. LOL

Congrats on the 180mm macro. It is a wonderful lens. I shoot it around f/11-f/16 ... for creative stuff... open it up to F/3.5 :) The bokeh the lens produces is stunning IMO. Have a blast in Hawaii.

Thank you Ryan

Taking a breather from all the processing.

Here is a shot I can't take full credit for...but I dig it. Kristy posed the guy...Steve and Kristy set up the studio...great lighting for the event... I just pushed the button and processed the photo.

Some adjustments in Photoshop CS3. B&W conversion and curves adjustment. A little dodge and burn... 3 AB's ...one large softbox to his left, one overhead on a boom and one with an umbrella above and behind me... black background.

What a fun night. I love taking the photos... it is the post processing which makes we want to cry. LOL

Here is one of my wife. She placed 2nd and 3rd in her classes. Tough competition... very proud of her!

Canon 5d, Canon 24-70

The shots from the 24-70 are so sharp even from the raw files... I don't need to sharpen them. SO COOL!

Let me know what you think...

It's an AWESOME shot Frank! I LOVE how it turned out... The tattoo totally makes it work well, and the skin tones render so well for the conversion. Love it! :) (I only wish I had my name on it... LOL). :)

Can't compete with what folks are posting of late but I thought this made for an amusing grab shot today:

Hmmm, what do I think...?

I think I'd better toss my gear out the window and take up knitting.
That's what I think...

Awesome. Congrats to the Mrs. She looks stunning as well !
