I'll miss you by a day. Oh well. I'll be flying back from Belize that night. I think it would be great to form something like that back home. Could be that there are already some clubs? Has anyone ever heard of any?

Kerry - those are some great photo's. I got some half way decent ones of the bridge, but due to the noise not much wild life. Thought about hollering "gaiter" and getting a picture of the kids scattering. But figured those stressed out teachers had enough on their minds.....hehe.

I know Huntsville has a "Huntsville Photographic Society" www.huntsvillephotographicsociety.org (external link). I was planning on joining, but will be moving to Jasper soon. I do not think there is one in Jasper.

I thought that would be a good day for ya BigKen. Maybe the day before or when you get back?

As of now I don't have any plans made from the 13th till let say the 19th - generally planning anything from here usually gets changed anyway once I get home.

I leave out again on the 20th to head back over this way. I hope to be home again; and maybe for good in May, if I can't make a meet this time around.

Time fer bed. See you guys again in 8-10hrs

Ken

I would be up for that. I have a friend down the street from me in Hayden who has been shooting for 30 years. He does use Nikon, so I hope you guys wouldn't mind if he tagged along. :)

Sure, I do not care if he shoots a Nikon. You got any friends that shoot Hasselbald? Now that would be SWEET!

Yes, that would be sweet. I do not know any, however. The only photographers that I know enjoy the outdoors as much as they photography of the great outdoors.

Found this old thread. Myself and another photographer from Jacksonville, AL get together occasionally to go shoot. We did a day in Little River Canyon, a day in Blount County for covered bridges, and are planning to go to the Railroad musuem soon. Anybody interested email me. I don't visit this forum much, spend most of my time in a few others.

I am in Birmingham and love to get an opportunity to get out and shoot.

The covered bridge trip sounded nice. I know of at least two just within 12 miles of my house near Cleveland and there used to be one crossing the Locust Fork on property that is now owned by my wife's family. What is left of that bridge is a couple of hundred yards from my home. Kids burned it down several years ago.

The railroad museum trip sounds interesting.

That would be fun... Maybe we could get a nice sized group together...

Yeah that was kinda the idea get a few people together to go shot some places.

The other guy I shoot with I meet through another forum as well. He is retired so we have usually gone during the week.

We had tried to go this week to the railroad museum but I had some stuff come up. Next week would be good for me. I think we may retry for then.

The only time I could would be on the weekends. My work schedule is pretty hectic.
