Tree ID needed...

I have never seen a tree like this before. It was dumbfounded when I saw it. I plan on going back with better sun, but it is a little tough to get to. Any ideas what it is?

It was maybe 20-30' tall and had hundreds of big, yellow/orange blooms.

I found it in Northern CA, but I don't think it is a local tree. Among the most beautiful trees I have ever seen!!!!

I see the picture and I have to agree..that is a beautiful tree! The first shot is my favorite, the drooping branch is very appealing to me.

The branches, flowers and leaves form an interesting, intriguing pattern in the first. Great depth of field and good color as well. I have no idea what type of tree that is, though.

Looks like a Fredmontodendron.Calif​ornia GLory.its actually a large shrub..we have them here as well.and they are a welcome sight after winter leaves!
