What is the best way to promote ones website for the sole purpose of selling photographs. What strategies should I try?

There are tons of ways to promote things. You can start by finding out who your target is and then figuring out the best ways to reach them.

Business cards. ;)

It helps not to be shy and incorporate your business into every day conversation. It works for me.

Shoot a lot of random events as well.

I have almost 2,000 views on my website since it launched 4 months ago. All from word of mouth.
