Very "DwightMcCannish".... ;) :) They look great. Clean and clear! I think 4 is the first time I've seen you go different...That doesn't really make sense but I think you know what I mean.

Yes, they are! :-) As for the, um, er, ah, well, "different" one, I do, sometimes, dip my little toe in the water! :-) Thanks for stopping by, Kathy!

You may have your detractors, but count me as not among them. When I look at your shots, I learn. Some old dogs......

#3 and 4 are nice, I don't like #2, 5 and 7 much, rest is okay. Lighting doesn't look too spectacular...

Usual good job, Dwight. Is # 7 slightly OoF? I am finding that my shorter glass photos all seem that way after a lot of use with the 300.

Roman, they all have EXIF ... if your browser doesn't have an EXIF viewer you should check the FAQ to find out where to get one. Yes, I think 300mm.

Thanks. I do like to give you a variety and that must include ones you don't like, that much! :-) But I think the problem was the lighting and action were very subdued ... I'm not impressed either.

May be a tad soft but the compression could be the problem. Yes, that damn 300mm f/2.8L IS makes almost any zoom seem mushy! Glad you like yours since I feel somewhat responsible for it! :-)

Glad you see it that way, Dwight. You are also somewhat responsible for the 1D MarkIII that I am going to purchase soon. I will send you a somewhat invoice shortly. ;)

Well, I have two of those 1DMIII's and a 1DsMIII. BTW, since the last firmware for them the AF problems seem fixed to me. I'm going to sell my 1DMIIN (I have a couple of local guys interested.) I think Canon should be giving me a cut. I "sold" another 300mm f/2.8 to Gary Baum of PaintballPhotography.com ... he keeps telling me to NEVER let him handle my 400mm f/2.8!

hey Dwight, i like 3, 4 and 8. 2 and 5 have the dreaded microphonus obstructus, and 6 doesn't have the most flattering moment for the singer, w/ the pursed lips.

Yup! Nobody moved much and the lighting was not special. Even I have difficult subjects on occasion.

As usual, a very nice set. My favs are the close ups... With #3 and #6 leading the way... #4 helps gel, and round out this set nicely...
