I too often question why I spend so much money on camera gear, but when I start looking at pictures of my girls, I know why.

One suggestion, you have a yellow tint to the pictures. If you shot this in RAW, adjust your White Balance to Tungsten and you should get a more natural lighting effect.

They are beautiful. I often justify the gear the same way.
And you do have a strong orange color. should not be too hard to fix.

Since I am so new to DSLR and PP...I have yet to venture into RAW...I played with it a bit...does this look better?
