I know it's silly, but I'm the only girl in my house. I like having girly things. Are there any cute, girly and also functional camera bags?

Crumplers come in all kinds of fun colors. Don't know if color is all you're looking for though.

You can try the jille line. I tried the small brown nylon and the one I got wasnt made very well. I have heard great things from other owners though. I think I got a bum one - I sent it back.

Sorry, forgot the link http://www.jill-e.com (external link) I also couldnt stand the 580 EX II upright in the bag (and close it) so it wasnt worth returning for a new one.

Just b/c I like to se these things before purchasing, here are some shots of the small jille next to my 6 mdh bag.

I have a Vituri SLR Camera bag in black. (They also come in brown). To me, it looks like a purse. They sell the brown one at walmart.com. Just do a quick search there to check it out.

I was just at a wedding last weekend where the female photog had a shootsac.
Looked good, and she pulled off some rather speedy lens changes.

Crumplers are a nice and kinda girly bag. I get told all the time my 7mdh looks like a giant man purse... which it does.

I agree with Haru.. great bags, and i got the same comments about my 7MDH being a man-purse. I thought the baby-blue interior was a bit too pastel for my tastes, so i dyed the whole interior black :-)

If you don't need a big bag, the AMM Vituri bags are nice. They usually retail for $60 or more, but Wal-mart has the brown one for $34.84.... http://www.walmart.com …uct.do?product_id=5750779 (external link)

cheryltee - if you don't mind me asking, what didn't you like about the TJ bag? I was thinking about getting one myself, but I just don't know if the quality is any good. Pros? Cons?

What did you end up buying instead?

jlrebelxti - I have a regular messenger bag that I like that has lots of pockets, is sturdy and waterproof, with room for lots of stuff. I bought something called a photo insert (by Tenba) that you put inside messenger bags and it has padding and dividers that convert the inside of my bag into a camera bag. I'm mostly a nature and animal shooter, so having a sturdy bag is good especially when I'm on a nature trail or in the woods. It also is great for travel.

The TJ bag is not waterproof. It has some padding, but it's not thick like a typical camera bag, which allows it to look nice while you are wearing the bag, but I wouldn't carry it on a plane. It is cute and I love both of the covers I have.

When I bought the TJ, I imagined carrying it to occasions and events where I might have to dress up a little, but it turns out that its always more practical for me to carry a purse with my point and shoot camera inside. I'd probably use the bag more often if I primarily photographed events and people. I've only had it since February, so I'm giving it a few more months before I decide for sure if I sell it.
