It's called flare, people! Hehehe. I appreciate the comments ... I know flare isn't for everybody. In #3 it's particularly strong ... I have less flared versions of that.

Don't change it, the flare is great and adds a unique look to the set. I really like #3.

Beautiful set, Luke. I like the flare. I would probably do just a wee bit of smoothing on her skin in some of the closeups, particularly images like #11. Not much though for sure. Just enough to even it out, not enough to make her look like a hooker.

Thanks for the tip. I'm yet to do any smoothing on anyone ... I'm a big believer in the "if I can't do it with ACR/Lightroom, I'm not doing it" philosophy. Bit of a purist. Or maybe just lazy. But it looks like LR 2 will have selective smoothing ... hmmm.

I'm of a similar mindset, although I have some actions in Photoshop that I use as well. Smoothing isn't something I do often either - at least not voluntarily or without provocation. Most people don't really need it, IMHO, but sometimes skin looks a little blotchy up close and could use some touch-up. The downside of sharp lenses. :)

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)
