I'm planning to buy the following 40D+28-135 kit and Canon Pixma 9000. My plan is to get the $300 mail in rebate for the printer and then sell the lens and the printer for $300 each. This way the 40D would run me around $657. My only problem is that B&H does not offer free shipping. I've found free shipping through buydig.com (total $1557)but I've never bought anything from them.

Is Buydig a reputable store?

Does my plan seem feasable?

Also if anyone thinks I can get a better deal please share your ideas.

I recently bought my Tokina 12-24mm from Buydig. It arrived within a few days through their free shipping option. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend them. As far as the 40D kit, I did the Amazon quick picks manipulation Friday night and was able to get the kit and Pixma Pro 9000 for $1513.44 shipped. I just noticed that Amazon doesn't have the printer listed right now. They may be out of stock temporarily, so if you need it right now Buydig might be the way to go.

Yes, Buydig is reputable.

I bought my 30D from them without issue and many others have shopped with them.

They are the same as BeachCamera, but prices between the sites sometimes differ so make sure to check both.

Like Grentz said, Buydig and Beach Camera are the same store. I bought my 40D through the Beach website last week and would highly recommend them.

Thanks for the quick replies. Also, once I get the 40D I'm planning to sell my 20D. What's a fair asking price for 20D with 11K clicks these days?

NAPP members get free shipping at B&H just in case you are in that group.

Buydig.com and beachcamera no longer offer the kit (40D + 28-135 lens) on their site. Weird. Now I need to find an alternate place to buy this for a similar price.

Keep an eye on it for a day or two, it's come and gone several times in the last couple weeks. It may be that they just take it off when they are out of stock, I would guess it will be back soon.

I've bought from beach camera before and they were very fast in shipping. I think they had great ratings on reseller ratings too.
