I had some QT with my son lastnight, so thought we'd head out into the yard and suprise my wife with some new photo's while she was gone....
all flashed shots were with a sb24 in a DIY beauty dish, and some with a vivitar bare as a sidelight, or a rim light
it was really warm to start the evening, so what's cuter than a kid in his diaper?

1.

then it started to cool down a little so I had to dress him, and I noticed the light was falling just right, so I switched off the strobes and went au natural.

2. what? there's something in here?

3. Let me take a closer look

4. Dad! you tricked me....

5. peek-a-boo!

then the light started to fall, so I turned the strobes back on

6. You wear it like this?

8. And this is how you know a shoot is officially over...

The emotion, colors and lower perspective is great in #7 and 8, those two are by far the best in this series. Such a wonderful gift to give a child when they turn older and can appreciate it, and I'd imagine they'll look really good on your wall.

Very nice! I love 6 (pose and PP) and 7 is perfect. :)

My only (very slight) critique is that his eyes seem a little bit dark?

yeah, the eyes bother me as well... I think some of it has to do with the post, but he's got dark gray/blue eyes to start with, and unless you flood them with light, they're always a little dark.
