I bought the wife a Safari experience at Woburn for her birthday.... so I had to go along

Excellent captures with great focus and smooth bokeh. Now spend more and go to the real place!

Beautiful shots! Color, exposure, curves, really nice job. I love the last photo. I'd have that on my wall in a heartbeat.

I'll be in South Africa next year for the World Field Target Championships. Trouble is, I gonna have to decide what sort of shooting I'll do

We all really enjoyed the Safari (for photographers). There were five of us in the 110. Myself and another friend stayed in the back with the 'big' lenses.

Our driver was really friendly and knowledgeable - he was one of the park staff, so knew the habits and hiding places of all of the animals.

Most of the time we were well away from the public and getting up close and personal with these beasts. When you could almost reach out and touch them, you realise how large and powerful they are. It was worth it just for that.

We were encouraged just to ask where we wanted to be for the best shots, which we did. Our driver also helped in this.

The animals that were less likely to eat/crush/ram you, such as the giraffes, we hand fed and gave them a tickle under the chin.

When we were in the pen with the lemurs, I looked around to see one of them with it's head inside the lens hood of my 70-200, it them proceeded to chew the edge of the hood!!! - It took a bit of cleaning to get lemur spittle off the filter

We could shoot almost all of the time with the windows open - which normal visitors are not allowed to do. The exception being the monkeys who would probably have stolen all of the gear given half a chance.

The animal that made me most nervous was the tiger. Our driver stated that it was very aggressive, and on many occasions it had attacked the land rover and pulled off many bits, including the rear step three times.

It was a fantastic day, as an animal lover and a 'tog' I would recommend it.
