I will be traveling to the Dominican Republic in August and want to bring my 40d and my Flip video camera. I would rather not bring my mac book. My question is this, is there a device that I can plug in my usb cable from my camera or my flip cam that will automatically download the content to the storage device with no computer involvement? I don't really have a problem with buying more cf cards for the 40d, but the flip video camera is limited to 60 minutes of video. I probably wont go above that but just in case.

thanks
steve

p.s. if this needs to be moved into the travel section mods please move it!

wow i didn't think anyone would respond to this so I kind of forgot about it. The solution I came up with was buying an Asus eeePC. I have 20 gigs of solid state memory plus a linux computer to play with.
