Way nice... It's always been real windy when I've been hiking there, and I've been there about 7 times. Going again this fall. There were no reflections in the lake on my visiting days :)

There are some very beautiful photographs here.
Here's the one which we took during our last visit (my wife and me I take the pics and she does the pping). Also, this is our first pseudo HDR inorder to get that extra range of colors which our eyes can see but not the camera.

Thx. I believe that was around 6 AM. Usually it calms down around 7 PM and early in the mornings. It's usually very windy as you say. There's a notch right in the divide that lets wind just rip through out onto the lake. It's an incredibly special place. I've been there a bunch of times too, and make it a yearly destination.

There were some bad fires that year too(you can see the haze in the sky, gave everything a greyish tint).

Can't wait to go back this summer.

Here are my additions :) I love taking pictures of mountains, but it is much more enjoyable when you are standing on a peak. Both shots are from the White Cloud mountain range near Stanley, ID and were taken last summer (2007).

Great pictures so far! All of you are giving me trip ideas.
