Anyone here have the 70-200 f/4 IS and f/2.8 IS?

Any reason on keeping both? I'm becoming sentimental to my f/4 IS. I have to let it go....I know but was wondering if anyone here actually have both and the justification on keeping both?

The only justification i can think of is weight... Sometimes lugging around the 2.8 IS is challenging, esp if you have other gears & bodies..

I'm probably going to sell my 4IS and the the 2.8IS before the end of these rebates. I've decided to just buy it new since lenses do tend to hold their value.

if you travel alot and dont need the money - keep it....

ill probably take the 70-200 f4IS to thailand over the 100-400 (i think similar weight size to 70-200 2,8?)

It definantly travels way better - lighter and smaller for during day events - youd be suprised.

Loaded = keep
Poor = sell

I was in the same boat but sold my f/4 I needed the faster shutter speed even though the f/4 was sharp as a tack I can't complain about the f2/8 IS other than the added weight

Yes, putting the f/4 IS and f/2.8 IS side by side, the weight is definitely there....bulk as well. I just don't want to keep a lens because I would have more options as to the situations I may be in that would allow me to use my f/4 IS. From what I can tell, I would come across these situations probably 10% of the time...which is probably not enough justification.

Already the justification to purchase the 2.8 is because 90% of the time, I need it indoors.
