S&S Cycle makes high performance engines & parts. Their 50th Anniversary celebration is here this weekend. Custom cycle builders from all over the world are here. They sent 50 engines to 50 custom builders and had them create a 50th Anniversary bike. The winner will receive $50,000.

Some quick pics from this afternoon.

Someone did a great job on the one in #2. Too bad you couldn't shoot from the other side where the light was better.

Thanks for the comments. Difficult shooting conditions with limited space and all the people. I'm going back today and tomorrow to try to get some better angles.

#2 is a design by Nicolas Chauvin. #3 is a design by OOC. Both are entered in the 50th Anniversary design contest.

Here's a couple more:

The 1st bike is in the design competition. The other 2 are not.

Wow, you could tell that the first bike was by Rick Fairless without even seeing "Strokers, Dallas" engraved on the engine. Good fabrication skills, but every one of his bikes looks like what I imagine a bad acid trip to be like. GAH.

Before I read you note on the last one, I was a little confused that you had a Victory Vision in the S&S Custom category. :)

I found another Fairless cycle. This one was not in the competition. Great paint job!

I shot Fairless's Hippy Paintjob Bike at the KC Easy Riders Convention. I like this Rat Bike better than his longer KC bike!
