Elements has curves? I have PSE4 and it doesn't. Did they add curves to v5 or v6?
It's a limited curves functionality... you can't directly click on the curve and add points, you control the curve by moving sliders.

The main reason I believe I need it is to be able to make collages, personalized pics and such. I am doing sports photography full time and it sounds like this is a necessity. I'm just not aware of what each version does or doesn't do so I'm trying to get a feel before I buy something and it doesn't have all I need or buy something expensive and not use any of the features. Can GIMP do layers for collages? thanks again, Dave When I started my part time photo business, I was using Photoshop elements. It's a great program for the money. It will be able to accomplish everything you outlined. When I made the switch from elements to CS3, I had to go through a learning curve since the menus and commands are slightly different between the 2 programs. Sports_Dude

I can't guarantee is legitimacy since I didn't order and am not in the market for CS3, but appears that you must order by phone from Adobe: [The phone number in the quote is the same as posted at Adobe.com... so it doesn't appear to be a redirection scam, at least.] Thanks so much for the information. I tried to call Saturday and they were down for maintenance. I called back today and got it done. CS3 for $299 + $5.95 shipping. All I needed was my PSE serial number. Works the other way 'round as well for those of us that bought a few expensive L lenses because we spent too much time on this forum being convinced that they were necessary - only to find out that we can satisfy our own needs just as well with carefully selected "consumer" lenses.
