I love shooting here, there is a old covered bridge and then remnants of what used to be a Mill in the 1800's. I always find something new too shoot while im there too. Ill post up my favorites and a link to the whole album.

I really like the last two. I wish both were "opened up" a bit though, as in a bit wider -- not a lot just a bit. :)

thanks for the feedback guys!! and that second to the last one was cropped some. will all the fires in northern california going on, the smoke just settles in the central valley. A bunch of these shots would have looked better but the smoke just makes everything seem really gloomy

I've seen the "Knight's Ferry"signs from the freeway, but never pulled off to check it out. I'll have to add it to my list of places to see, when I'm out and about in the valley.
I hear you about the smoke, though. We were up in Tahoe this past weekend, and you could not see ANY of the mountains around the lake. Sitting at the beach was like sitting at the beach at the ocean. Very weird...

Nice pics of a beutiful place. Is that the Stanislaus River? In the right light, you can get some cool shots of the cliffs above the river and the swallows(?) flying in and out of their little holes. Also a decent place to fly fish.

LOL... that's too funny. I am actually from Escalon and have good friends that live in Oakdale, Modesto, Manteca, etc. Too bad I don't live there anymore or I would go out and shoot with you guys. You should make the trip up to Strawberry and get some pics up there. Great place and very, very pretty. Was in a wedding about this time last year at the Almond Pavilion in Oakdale, nice place. I really miss the central valley sometimes, especially all the produce. Damn people are amazed when we get 5 knarled ears of corn for $2 here...*sigh*
