Oh boy are these cute! I just love these tiny darters and one of them even did the posey handstand for me - just luv em when they do that. I took loads of photos of them, so here are a few, and one female Black Darter.

I cant tell you how pleased I was to see them, they are gorgeous :D :D

LOL Bill - that obvious  I couldnt wait to process them tonight, but had to shut everything down half way through as we had a storm with lots of lightening, so modem had to be unplugged for safety. We live on the top of a hill and our telephone line got hit by lightening2 summers ago and fried the modem even though it was switched off - the phone line didnt half go with a bang LOL, so I am very careful now when we have a storm. It passed fairly quickly though and got back up and running as soon as I could.

Thanks Brian. I did manage just a couple of photos of them last year which was the first time I had seen them, but only with my 70-200 F4L, so this year I made sure I had the 100mm macro on me.

Here are 2 links from last year's ones which I am fairly sure I posted up on here:

Thanks Pete :D Im not sure I have ever seen our little Darters do that either, but I guess they do but we dont often see it lol. I just thought how lucky I was to get a photo of one doing it.

When you go to Thursley, look very carefully for them along the boardwalks - hope you see some of these too :D
