so to acheive a light BG, (when in AV mode) i can adjust the FEC to a higher number..?

JK These were shot in manual mode (full flash) ie flash is the major light source. In Tv or Av mode things get a bit more complicated with flash as it's normally natural light that is the major light source. In this case you might be better off using EC to lighten the background. Can only suggest you have a play trying either EC or FEC and see what happens.

OK. i like to play with the EC a lot, and usually dont meddle with the FEC. but i will try that out. thanks for the info ;)
