Juneau Alaska Glacier

The first picture is of Mendenhall Glacier in the distance. We had a perfect day in Juneau. We also walked on a glacier and the color in the cracks and crevices are an amazing blue.

Very unique look on that second shot, Rosemary. I love the colors. Thanks for sharing with those of us who don't make it up that way very often -- or at all!

Wow, the grass really IS greener on the other side :D I've never been there so I can't judge on the accuracy but it looks great.

Thanks for your comments. The grass really was that green. The helicopter pilot that flew us to the glacier said it was one day out of a hundred to have such beautiful weather that day. It looks really cloudy, but the sun was shining as well. It was our family's first time visiting Alaska and I'm hoping it won't be the last. We just barely scratched the surface of amazing scenery that makes up Alaska.
