I reckon if he had hips, he would have stood up and put his front feet on his hips and told me off lol.

Funny, did it scare you? ;)

I only do careful levels/crop/NR/colorbalance, if needed. Thats just my philosophy, to each his own.
You're welcome to check my photoart (fotokonst in swedish) at http://sebastianfoto.se/ (external link)
Its swedish, but just press the menu at top for cathegories and view the photos.
I have a Canon S3 with two Raynox closeup lenses.

I wonder which species this is? Grasshoppers of Surrey has pathetically small photos which are useless aids to identification.

Thanks - nah, I dont scare easily lol - I think he was more scared of me lol. There are 2 things that I dont particularly like, one is wasps as they sting for no reason lol, and I am terrified of horseflies - I react very badly to their bites and they put the fear of god into me.

Toby I am fairly certain this a Field Grasshopper. I know what you are saying as all the literature that I have to hand is hopeless really, most of the photos/drawings bear little resemblence to what is actually in front of you, so its very difficult to ID a lot of them unless you are a reasonable expert.

Hi Mark - and thanks for the comment. 'Deep do do' is what you mean isnt it

thanks also for the link, I think that will be helpful too as they are photos, even though some of them are a little on the dark side, it should help with markings though and always handy to have a link like that - well done :D
