Michael,

Pls disregard my entry (on post #15) as it was taken with a 350D camera. I did not notice that is says on the rules that the camera used to take the photos should be G-series cams.

Sorry for the confusion on my end.

Thanks!
Chuck

I’m not totally recovered from the hard judging of the previous challenge, so I can understand you Michael. You did your job well and so did all the participants.
Some notes about wrong sizes and missing titles are not too bad, provided they tell us that we have new people in the challenges. Welcome all.

Special congratulations to teekay, marie and gewb for the top places.

The B&W conversion of the winning picture is fantastic and the dynamic range of the G1 sensor is awesome really, perhaps better than the dynamic range of newer G cameras.

Congratulations to all.

Besides the winners I liked the photos by Car, John_T, Boutty and Kevan_G9. I really enjoyed this challenge.

Congratulations to the top 3. Some nice photos there. When I saw teekay's photo I thought it was probably all over, but I entered anyway. I also really liked submannz's photo. Very unusual and creative.

Wow. This was a tough challenge to pick only 3 winners. I loved all the entries and was sorry I could not join in this time.
Congrats to teekay, marie and gewb for placing.

Michael, nicely done!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Congrats Teekay, Marie and gewb, good work!!
(Whew! Glad you won too. I realized a bit late that the winner is the host of the next.)

...Michael, a waterspout is to water what a tornado is to land. The real drama in that shot from far, far away is this particular waterspout was "pursuing" the speck which is a sailboat. The brilliance of the sun was so great I couldn't say for sure, but it looked like the spout caught the boat and ripped off its sails.

Wide angle of the whole vista:

teekay, that is one spectacular photo. Wow! To the winners, your photos did a perfect job showing the properties of water. I totally enjoyed watching this challenge develop. I think we are all pleased to see so much participation mixed with a wonderful mix of true talent from everyone. Bravo to you all!

As for my entry, I enjoy the mood and the framing, I just wish the water had a bit more wiz-bag. I'll have to revisit the location when the water is foaming and the waves are crashing. Course, the problem with that is I'd be soaking wet from the vantage point where I stood. Ah, the price we must pay for our art!

Congratulations to teekay, marie and gewb. Job well done Mike - a very tough job this week, all were great shots in my opinion.
I Absolutely loved teekays winning shot, and the black and white conversion is stunning.
I also loved Kevan-G9's - if you do go back for a second go - socks and shoes off and roll up the kecks and you'll be fine! either that, or a pair of waders - just make sure the camera stays dry!
My shot was another one from a recent trip, I had taken some last week whilst at Loch Lomond and nearly chose one of these but was talked into using one of the windsurfer shots instead. When I get home tonight I'll maybe post a few of the others.

Well done Mike, the pressure's off now until the next win!

Congratulations to the winners and that's an amazing shot John_T :)

I was late to the party on this one but I love the subject matter so I thought I'd share a few watery photos with you all :)

All taken with my G9
