Funny thing is he took a picture of all those Canon bodies with a Nikon D3.

Maybe the nikon was the reason for the poor exposure of his gear shots?

This is one guy from a little over a thousand photographers with Olympic credentials. Think of all the money put into the gear.

My mouth dropped and smacked the keyboard when I saw this guys arsenal of gear for the Olympics. I really don't think I could estimate how much in dollars is just sitting on the table with camera bodies, lenses, and pocket wizards. Take a look..........

I need to show my wife this to prove I really don't have alot of camera equipment and always need more :D

The one key thing though (beyond all the apparant need here for post Canon Porn cleanup) is that this guy is going away for three plus weeks, half way around the world, into a very competitive environment.

He'll probably get only 4 to 6 hours sleep a night (if that) on something well short of a Serta Perfect Sleeper, eating on the run (if he gets to eat much) and is expected to produce consistantly world-class, publication-worthy images day in and day out from the moment he hits the ground. No dry runs, no rehearsals, and probably not much time to just "scope things out."

It's hard to believe one guy owns all that stuff, that's how much camera equipment I imagine a large newspaper owns. Incredible.

Not even close ;)

They frequently do. Those lenses produce some interesting effects.
