I've not done any rear curtain syncing shots to show motion in the correct direction. The other night I shot some and it just did not seem to work. I was using my 5D, 580EX II, PW's, all in Manual Mode. I set the CF on both the camera and the flash to rear curtain but had no luck.

Any ideas?

You won't get 2nd curtain sync with PWs unless you have the MultiMax units and use the 2nd curtain sync feature of the MultiMax. There is a way to do it by using a Canon flash on the hotshoe however. http://www.flickr.com …?search=high+speed+hacked (external link) This posting is for high speed sync, but it also works for 2nd curtain sync.
