Cafe at Borders

I've been playing around some more with pseudo-HDR in Lightroom, this time with a handheld low-light indoor shot. This was taken in the cafe at Borders in London's Charing Cross Road. I'd be interested to know what you all think. Thanks for looking.

Firstly, I'd probably use a larger photo in your post. It saves us from having to go to your flickr site to view a larger version [which in this case is quite important as the detail is quite intricate]

I actually quite like the effect. The colours and the result of your work in Lightroom has given image a real 1950's retro look; the sort of thing you'd see in a magazine ad back then ...

Thanks. The next largest size Flickr offers is 1024 x 683 - just about twice that size. On my 1440 x 900 LCD screen, that only fits in my browser window if I go full screen. I'm happy to post a larger size but not if other people don't like it.

By the way, if you look closely at it, you'll see what looks like lens aberration around the lights. This is something that the pseudo-HDR technique only makes worse. I'll go back and fix that in time, I just wanted to get people's feelings about how the technique looks.
