Awe,,,I almost missed this. I am speechless as to how to express my admiration of what you have here.

I don't think I could choose a favorite. These are just so awesome.

I have to wonder how many shots you took, to edit down to these few. I would imagine that you have hundreds of others that most people would love to take, that you have to decide whether to even keep.

Congrats on being there, being equipped, having the foresight to visualize, and know when to be at the right spot, and having the skill to capture it to perfection.

It is obvious that this is beyond just good luck. I wish I knew if you were using a blind or whatever? K

I have always believed that it is better to get 1 outstanding shot than 10 mediocre. You have nailed all of these. Brilliant work! --Rick

great pictures - they sort of look like Minnesota Loons - are they fresh water or ocean birds ?

They breed on fresh water ponds but always close to sea since it's their source for food. In the winter they stay at sea but close to land.

Sindri, these are marvelous intimate photographs of a beautiful bird. I absolutely LOVE the low perspective. Were you wading or in a kayak or something? Anyhow, two thumbs up!!
= Ed =

Well I was not in the water myself this time but I was laying on the bank and the gear was just above water level.

You are right. I do have a lot of perfectly good shots that I will probably never use. During the time I spent on this pet project I took hundreds of shots and it can sometimes be hard to decide which shot to use. This is what I call a luxury problem. ;-)a
I didn't use a blind for these.

Yes, it was able to swallow that fish and it only took few seconds. I do have a shot of it so I might post that one later on.

Best regards

Sindri
