I think its a cool shot.
I've been wanting to do this with a newborn. My neighbor is due anyday now..Might have to see if I can borrow him one day. LOL

While the baby is absolutely adorable and I like the baby's pose...just having the arm creeps me out big time. I'm not loving the black and white conversion...did you play with the curves layer a bit?

Yes I did.

I hope you don't mind, but since I agreed with the poster above, I did my own B&W conversion of your colour image, to help illustrate what I (and maybe he) mean.

I personally like the arm... IMO rather than disappearing daddy entirely, I'd opt for ghosting him out into insignificance. What I mean is, I bet a bit of shirt would have actually helped.

Good job though... I have the toughest time shooting on black, myself...

Thanks milorad. I thought about doing that, but it could look maybe creepy? I'll play later with the dad behind. I had the toughest time, but shooting the baby, he was not a newborn that barley moves, He was a 10-months-old baby fighting for not being shot

Tough call, both work very well

nice shots....I agree with the others on the arm on the 1st shot. The only thing I would have changed on it would be to have more of the daddy's arm or shirt/chest or something show up in your shot - don't suppose that is an option in your PPing?? The lighting is fabulous!!

Think the arm looks creepy? I tried removing it now that is creepy!

I find the arm very creepy, as well. I really like the black background, though. It really brings out your little one.
