Twitter seems to work well for driving traffic to a specific image.

I have facebook and generally ignore it.

I have myspace and generally ignore it.

I have a blog and generally ignore it.

Maybe I need to get twitter so I can generally ignore it too. I'm always on the prowl for new things to generally ignore.

Initially I found Twitter to be a really irritating social tool. I have no interest in when my friend is heading out to change his oil or when a colleague is heading out to the movies.

I just started using Twitter in conjunction with my blog for traveling photogs, www.flyingwithfish.com (external link) . My intention is to not send out inane updates like "I could go for a donut from Tim Horton's" or "I've decided to go walk down the street and stare at the ocean." My wife doesn't care about these moments in my life......why would anyone else?

The intended use of Twitter, for me at least, is to send out quick messages that may be of interest to those who read Flying With Fish, or those who just want general updated info on traveling. This morning I kicked off Twitter with a message about Forbes announcing that Southwest Airlines ranked #1 among US carriers for reliability; I may send one out later regarding a deal on flights in Europe for €18.

Anyway.....that is how I plan to use Twitter, as a random information source about travel and things that may affect photogs on the road or those planning to go on the road.......and not tell those following me when I'm headed to Starbucks (because really who cares).

If you're interested in picking up Flying With Fish updates on Twitter, I can be found at www.twitter.com/flyingwithfish (external link)

Me too, with the exception of the blog. Email for 2 businesses keeps me hopping enough...heaven forbid the phone ring. ;)

My phone rings all the time, but it's always a collection service insisting that I'm the person who had the number before me.

Won't be long before the collection people figure out it is your number. Then you can have calls from two fronts.;)

Ah that's cool. Where'd you eat? Did you hit up BK or did you keep driving and do Toll Gate, or..?

Next time you're up this way, give me a ring. You can get my number on my website.
