beginner with digital cameras

i just got Canon PowerShot S2 IS for my birthday. as i am a total beginner n digital photography, could someone of you kindly explain me how to change the shutter speed? or give me some links ...

I don't have an S2 IS but i'm pretty sure you can find it in the manual. almost every basic thing is there. Have fun experimenting with it!

Shutter speed is under Manual (m) or Time Value (tv) on your dial. If you want to do close up pictures with your S2 then press the little flower button on the side of the lens. Oh but best advice is to read the instructions thouroghly it will help a lot.
