Has anyone tried this? It is a beta from Microsoft Research. I just tried it and I am impressed with the results and the save options. Just pick your files from explorer, CTRL - Click on each, and drag them into the ICE Window. Enjoy!

Even though I use M$ operating systems, I try to avoid other M$ programs, especially when in beta development stage. IBM = I Blame Microsoft

Having gotten my rant out of the way, I am indeed curious to see how this one pans out. It does appear intriguing.

Thanks for the tip.

I downloaded it and gave it a quick whirl. I ran a few pano's thru it and my first impression's are:

It's Quick, Does a fair+ job on alignment (there dosent seem to be a way to correct or manually align misalingment's), integrates nicley with vista, Can output layerd PSD doc's, but not so good in the blending and do not rescale your images in it (I scaled one to 50% for output and it looked like it was sharpened for print)

I think I'll keep it for a while and play more latter. I gave it a couple toufgh ones and the outcomes were better than some other stitchers in automatic but there doesent seem to be much choice other than complete auto and hope you can fix mistakes in another application. My guess is these features will be in the paid version.

I apologize for reviving an old thread, but this is the only one that came up when I searched for Microsoft ICE.

Over the past year, MS seems to have added a lot more features. Specifically, the ability to create and output to gigapixel panoramas.
I've seen a number of these made from a couple HUNDRED 5D Mk II photos and the resolution is unbelievable.

I tried it a while back and since it looks like the current version is from Nov. 2008 it doesn't appear they have done much with it in a long time. I wanted to use it to do gigapixel stuff but it didn't work very well. I like the deepzoom stuf but wish they would work on the deepzoom composer, it is pretty buggy.
