Should have another category in the poll, a "don't care". It really doesn't matter all that much to me. If it wer larger, I would probably make a larger one, but I'm not missing or needing a larger one.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

It's fine with me that moderators got bigger ones! :)

I feel blessed with my smaller one personally. At least I have one!!!

I have found it hard to get down to 8KB and be at 80x80 and who wants to have to go smaller than 80x80??

Perhaps I am reading this wrong. As I understand, the chief complaint is not making the avatar larger than 80x80 but larger than 8KB. I think this is a very realistic approach. There are forums that require avatars to be 50x50 at 16KB.

:p

Nope. Have you read the Sticky that helps in saving down to 8kb?

Changing the avatar size to larger formats will only bog down the server and page loads for those members who have the default page display to 50 posts per page. But like Jon said, you can choose the selection of no avatar displayed in the User Cp:D

"Gift" isn't necessarily the word I would use :P.

Poor bunny :p

I don't really care about the size. Just pic a fav subject and throw it in. I'm able to see everyone's pretty clearly except for some full body shots people put in theirs.

I would have to say no. I for one haven't really had a problem with it at all.

Size does not matter....
But first and foremost to be worrying about avatar size is not conducive to the forum agenda / culture......
Avatars are just a bit of fluff on the side unless of course you have a really big impressive one....
